Emily Ledford Lawrence, JD
Administrative Principal

Emily Ledford Lawrence has 30 years of experience in Estate Planning and Trust Administration. Emily graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1977 subsequent to having received a BA in Political Sciences with distinction. She worked in a large regional bank trust company for 16 years prior to joining Goldberg & Simpson, PSC, a Louisville law firm, in 1994 where she became a partner in 1998. She authored the chapter on Living Trusts for the current UK/CLE Practice Handbook: Kentucky Estate Planning. She has lectured on numerous topics at local and regional Estate Planning seminars. Recent lecture topics include Living with Living Wills and Planning for Children with Special Needs.

Emily is past president of the Estate Planning Council of Louisville, Junior League of Louisville and Women Lawyers Association. She served on the Kentucky Derby Festival Board (KDF) for 16 years and is past chair of their KDF Foundation Board. Emily also is an alumna of the Leadership Louisville Class of 1991.

Currently, Emily is active in several civic and professional organizations that include Second Presbyterian Church, The Kentucky Bar Association (KBA) and the Louisville Bar Association. She is on the boards of Cabbage Patch Settlement House, Baptist Hospital Foundation and Goodwill Industries of Kentucky.
